The Camerata Mundi was founded 2008 in Geneva with the idea to reverse its international background of their members and share their passion with its public around the world. The ensemble consists of experienced young performers, awarded at international competitions from different countries. All have in common the search for musical excellence and emotions. They all have great experience in orchestra and chamber orchestra playing, but also as soloists and chamber musicians. They are also excellent teachers constantly volunteered to share their knowledge and their passion to play.
The repertoire of the Camerata includes all major works of classical music composed for string instruments from the Barock to contemporary music. They are also very attached to the folklore music of their origins and love to integrate it in their performances. Next to their actual formation as string ensemble with 9 to 11 musicians, the group engages in projects with different formations such as trio, quartet, quintet.
The young Camerata Mundi has realized several concerts in Germany, France, Italy and Switzerland. The excellence of their performance reflects the efforts and rigorous musical engagement in the preparation of their programs.
